Meet the Artist

Hi, I am Laurie Rose Harry. I have been happily married to my childhood sweetheart for 42 years. We live in a small agricultural town in the central Valley of California. We are blessed with three wonderful children. When they were growing up, we grew organic apples, raised sheep, goats, and chickens. They are grown and  living their own lives away. Now it is the two of us with our dogs and a cat...which frees up more time for painting. 

As a child I was always drawing and painting. When I was older I would see the beauty in nature and want to capture it in an image. I would call these my doodles. In 2020 I found myself home with lots of time on my hands and I began to draw and paint daily. It was during this time the passion I had buried inside began to surface and grow.  I fueled my passion with online art classes, joined art groups, and attended art workshops. 

With the encouragement of family and friends I entered my first juried art show and sold my first painting in 2021. I find there is a shared joy and connection when a painting I made resonates with someone.
